Terms and Conditions

General

The following terms and conditions apply to all transactions with Chase AV Direct via any of its trading websites. The use of this site indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. The placement of an order indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. This applies to both orders placed by customers themselves via our internet shopping sites and orders placed over the telephone with our sales representatives. Please read them carefully and print a copy for future reference.

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights. To order goods through this website you must be at least 18 years of age and accept delivery within the UK. We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods subject to these terms and conditions.

Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our shop and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on “View Basket” or “Checkout” and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.

If you prefer to make your purchase over the telephone rather than using the secure payment facility on-line then please just call us on 01473 279992. All calls will be charged at standard low cost local rates.

Businesses / Official Bodies: We accept official Purchase Orders from local authorities, government departments and educational institutions; fax or email us with your Purchase Order. If you have a requirement for a large quantity, please call us now on 01473 279992 for a better quote.

Payment and Price

All prices on our website are inclusive of VAT and delivery charges – the price you see is the price you pay. No hidden charges or surcharges at the checlout or payment stage.

The total price payable for the goods will be stipulated at the time when you place your order whether or not the order has been confirmed. We are entitled to make adjustments to the price to take account of any increase in our supplier’s prices, or the imposition of any taxes or duties, or if due to an error or omission the price published for the goods is wrong whether or not the order has been confirmed. We will inform you of the correct price and give you the opportunity to cancel the order.

We accept credit card and debit card payments. Payment can be made using the following credit or debit cards by telephone or using our 100% secure on-line ordering facilities: American Express, Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard, MasterCard Debit and Maestro. We also accept PayPal and BACS. To order by BACS, place a Telephone Order and contact us via email with your order number. Bank account details for BACS payments are available upon request and receipt of an order.

In order to combat credit card fraud and maintain our ability to offer low prices, Chase AV Direct reserve the right to refuse Internet orders where one or more of the following conditions applies:

  • We are unable to contact the customer via the telephone number entered on the Order Form;
  • The delivery address is NOT the cardholder’s billing address. However, please call 01473 279992 and we will endeavour to meet reasonable delivery requirements, subject to conditions being met;
  • Where our credit card payment system advises us that the three digit code on the signature strip of the credit/debit card has been entered incorrectly;
  • Where our credit card payment system advises us that the 3D Secure (Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode) check, if applicable, has failed.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, once we have dispatched the item(s), therefore, the order can be cancelled by us at any point prior to dispatch. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Once an order has been placed and payment made, we will send a confirmation email and receipt to the email address provided during the order process.

Accuracy of Product Information

All product specifications, images and other information published on our website have either been made accessible by suppliers, manufacturer’s, publications, publicists, or been gathered from public-domain sources. The intention of Chase AV Direct is that all information on the website should be as accurate and up to date as possible. However, Chase AV Direct cannot guarantee the reliability or the accuracy of the information contained within its pages. All the actions taken by the user of the website are the responsibility of the individual.

Description of Goods

All images, descriptive matter, specifications and advertising on our site are for the sole purpose of giving an approximate description of the goods. Full detailed specifications are available from the manufacturer’s brochures or their websites.

All accessories supplied with a product are subject to upgrade or change at the manufacturers discretion. We will supply the product(s) as supplied to us by the manufacturer.

Typographical Errors

In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical error or error in pricing information from our suppliers, taxes or duty changes, we shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders listed at the incorrect price whether or not the order has been confirmed. If your credit card has already been charged and we subsequently cancel your order, we will immediately issue a full credit to your credit card account in the value of the incorrect price (including delivery charges).

Availability of Goods

All products and services are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. If we do not supply the goods for any reason we will not charge you for these and we will fully refund any money already paid for them. However, we will not be responsible for compensating you for any other losses you may suffer if we do not supply the goods.

Delivery and Damages / Shortages Policy

Please count all packages to ensure that they have all arrived i.e. where the labels say 8 packages, please alert the driver if there are shortages and ensure a note is made and that we are advised immediately. Failure to do so may mean that a replacement may not be available at a later date.

We send every item in perfect condition but it is unfortunate that occasionally damage can occur during shipping. Please open and inspect all packages for transit damage immediately and at least within 48 hours, even if you’re not going to use them right away. Failure to do so may mean that a replacement may not be available at a later date.

Signing for packages that contain glass: Due to the fragile nature of glass, please attempt to inspect the package before signing, otherwise please sign for any delivery that contains glass as ‘Damaged’, even if the box looks intact. This will help us to get replacement parts to you in the unfortunate event of breakages.

Returns Policy

If for whatever reason you change your mind and would like to return your order after delivery, we’re happy to refund or exchange your purchase as long as it’s as new and in its original unmarked packaging. This option is available for 30 days after delivery in most cases.

Following The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations, we will accept items back even if you have opened the goods to inspect them. You are entitled to a refund as long as you inform us of your decision to cancel within 14 calendar days from the day after delivery of the goods. The goods must be in an ‘as new’ condition and returned in the original, unmarked packaging and undamaged in any way, including but not limited to: broken glass; damaged panels; scratches; scuffs; stains; blemishes. The return must include any accessories and free gifts received with the item. You can examine the goods as you would in a shop, which includes opening the box to inspect them, but you must not have used, assembled or installed them or input any data on them. Whilst the goods are in your possession you must take reasonable care of them. Please note that this does not apply to business customers, although we will consider any reasonable request, or assembled items delivered by 2 man courier services.

To refund/cancel your purchase:

  • You can request a return or cancel your order via the Contact Us page

Collection charges, if we arrange collection, are paid by the customer and will be deducted from the refund. We will advise you of the charge before we arrange a collection. Customers are responsible for paying the entire cost of return if they make their own arrangements.

Once we have received the goods back from you, we will refund you for the price paid for the product plus any shipping / delivery charge paid on our website to originally ship the product (except for the additional costs arising if you selected a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us). Products with free shipping will not have any shipping / delivery charge refunded.

We may make a deduction from the refund for any loss in value of the goods if the loss is a result of any unnecessary handling by you. If goods are damaged in any way we will be unable to accept the return and we will make arrangements to send it back to you, at your expense.

Refunds take 3-5 working days to be credited to your payment card.

We cannot refund/cancel your purchase if:

  • The goods were a special order to your specification
  • The goods are used, assembled or installed
